Hard/soft - Michigan
Our ComfiFit Hard/soft splint is our flagship splint that uses a comfortable bi-laminar material. Available in clear or dark blue.
A full contact, permissive, stabilisation splint that provides canine and anterior guidance to insure balanced jaw movements.

Full hard - Michigan
Our full hard splint will last well with heavy bruxers. Our full hard splints are Asiga 3D printed using quality Keystone plastics.
A full contact, permissive, stabilisation splint that provides canine and anterior guidance to insure balanced jaw movements.

Anterior or NTI (nociceptive trigeminal inhibition)
Anterior mid-point contact splints are often used as a deprogramming splint. Solid anterior contact insures posterior teeth are
discluded allowing muscle relaxation. Note: These splints should not be worn for long periods continually as intrusion or
supra-eruption of posterior teeth could occur from lack of posterior contact.

Nightguard - Soft
Used primarily to protect against bruxism or soft tissue injuries. Made using Erko95 (shore 95 EVA).
This material is slightly harder than the EVA used with sports mouthguards. Nightguards can benefit patients with heavy
grinding and may offer some protection for patients that have complex or problematic anterior veneers or crowns.

Repositioning
Repositioning splints are a non-permissive or directive splint used for treating TMJ disorders by positioning or aligning the
condyle-disc assemblies. These splints incorporate a bite ramp or indentations for secure placement of the opposing dentition.
Like, anterior splints long term use needs to be avoided.

Gelb/MORA
These splints are connected using a lingual bar and only contact the posterior teeth, leaving the anterior dentition unimpeded.
Gelb are permissive splints often used in conjunction with orthodontics. MORA (as name suggests) are a 'mandibular orthotic
repositioning appliance'.

Functional
Functional splints can incorporate ramps and indentation etc to provide guidance or force to alter the dentition, jaw position or
vertical dimension. Functional splints include types used for dentofacial and jaw orthopaedics such as Twin-Blocks, Activators
or Bionators. Functional splints can also sucessfully correct unilateral cross-bite dentition with treatment using Nord splints.
